- Somebody else's whole HD (archived)
- Hundreds of disks (all kinds of software)
- There is a HUGE amount of software I either haven't yet tried or didn't
- realize I had. That's how large my library is!
-
- This system is the culmination of NINE years of software and hardware
- collection and configuration. There is NO doubt that you will be impressed
- with the contents of the HD, not to mention the overall performance of the
- whole system. To summarize, this system has almost everything you could want
- in a beefy computer. I do wish I had a CD-ROM...
-
- One of the reasons why I like the system so much is that it effectively
- multitasks three operating systems (Mac, Amiga, IBM) in near-perfect harmony.
- Switching platforms is as simple as switching screens. File transfers/
- conversion has never been easier.
- I am really going to miss this machine. I hope the next owner shares my
- love of computer science and general enthusiasm about the architecture and
- versatility of the Amiga 2000 system.
-
- Well, that's my pitch. I am selling the system in hopes to get a PowerMac
- of some kind. Here's the breakdown:
-
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
- GVP 040@33 Combo card w/16 RAM, but no HD (with disk & dox) $1300
-
- 730MB Quantum Lightning (with all software listed above!) $300
- also includes 200MB of Mac software for Emplant
- please ask about Mac software!
-
- Emplant Deluxe w/Mac&IBM modules, disk, dox, ROM images, $400
- includes 52MB HD (IBM OS) and 82MB HD (Mac OS)
-
- Microway Flickerfixer with disk & dox $110
-
- Canon BJ200 bubblejet printer with xtras listed above $110
-
- A2000 & 1084S package: includes A2000 and 1084S listed above, $500
- swivel monitor stand, power switching station, 2 pairs of
- amplified speakers, 14.4 fax/modem, Multistart with ROMS,
- Perfect Sound audio digitizer, A520 RF modulator, a
- small library of documentation & books, several hundred
- disks of software (all genres), all cables needed + then
- some, maybe a 3-way printer switcher (if I can find it.) ------
- $2720
-
-
- THE ENTIRE PACKAGE... EVERYTHING (yipes!).......................$2500
- includes 50% of shipping costs (very expensive)
-
- A word about committing to a package deal like the ones I am
- offering. If there's something you don't need, sell it off. You
- should have no problem recouping your funds if you buy a package and
- sell something individually. The configuration packages I have listed
- above are concrete: I do not intend to break anything up unless
- I encounter extreme $$$ circumstances... just forget I mentioned it.
-
- Terms of sale: Being a veteran at net sales, particularly in this news-
- group, I am accustomed to CASH ONLY CODS or some form of prepayment.
- About shipping, I would expect that some of this stuff is going to
- cost a lot to ship. I would prefer to discuss shipping costs on an
- individual basis.
- If you live in New England, I might be convinced to deliver to your
- home to avoid the shipping nonsense. Try me.
-
- Support: I want to know what happens to my baby... Please let me know
- of any questions or concerns you may have. My phone number is below.
- I prefer e-mail. I check it several times a day.
-
- Thank you for taking the time to read this. Oh, if you choose to
- reply, PLEASE, PLEASE(!) do not quote the whole damn article! Gracias.
